"After searching for a property in our desired location for several months we were made aware by a local estate agent of a new development of two new dwellings which ticked all the boxes for what we were looking for. However at that stage we only had a plan and specification and the proposed purchase would be pre-build and off plan.

This was something we had never done before and although at first very nervous buying a house you can’t see we have to say the whole process was made very easy by Bourne Homes with excellent communication and updates on build progress through the entire build.

We had regular site visits, and input into fine details such as colour choices, flooring etc. and the property was completed ahead of programme which helped considerably as we were in rented accommodation.

On the day of completion we were given a tour of the house by Bourne Homes for handover with a detailed manual of every item used in the construction from wall paint colour to make of roof tile and all operating instructions and warranty details for accessories and appliances. It was very comprehensive.

The most pleasing however was the standard of the completed house which was it has to be said far exceeded our expectations having previously seen finishes of other new developments by other builders.

Finally the aftercare service since we moved into the property have been second to none. We have had aftercare visits by Bourne Homes soon after we moved in to ensure we were happy and again at 6 months another customer care visit. Any item however small has been addressed straight away and we are over the moon we purchased the house and would recommend Bourne Homes to other potential purchasers without hesitation."

"In December 2014, we completed on our property at Langborough Court. I’d like to commend the developers to you.

We were in an unusual position. Not only did we purchase a property on the estate, we also live immediately next door to the site. From the start of the planning process, we were involved in the project’s development.

Before the request for planning permission was submitted, as immediate neighbours we were visited by Bourne Home’s architects; he invited our comments and feedback on a selection of alternative plans. We felt that our comments were listed to objectively and, where possible, requests and suggestions were included. Bourne Homes formally sought planning permission from Waverley Borough Council, we had no objections as our areas of concern had already been mitigated.

During the building process, we were right at the heart of the action. We developed good relationships with the builders and tradespersons on site and at no point did we feel overly inconvenienced by the close proximity of a not insignificant building project. Indeed, the regular builders were very thoughtful – letting me know if the day would bring an especially messy / noisy job and being exceptionally kind to my elderly parents, who were often staying at my home.

We are very pleased with the functional, aesthetically pleasing design of both the interior and exterior of the property. The finish and workmanship is good and the post purchase snagging lists were rectified in a timely fashion. A trivial problem with a gutter this summer was also remedied quickly.

Our experience of purchasing our first “new build” was very positive. We are happy to have a sympathetically designed small “estate” next to our home and would have no hesitate in recommending Bourne Homes Limited for their professionalism and client service both pre and post-sale."

"Once settled on a price with Bourne Homes we were very grateful to find that the process moved swiftly and steadily to exchange of contracts. The process was smooth, communication between our respective solicitors was efficient, timely and we encountered no problems or delays. We also found Bourne Homes to be responsive and helpful in dealing with any of our questions.

Prior to completion we had a number of questions on the equipment and how to operate it. Again, we found Bourne Homes to be exceptionally helpful in providing advice and willingness to take the time to come and meet us at the property.

On completion we were very impressed with the information provided by Bourne Homes. There was an extensive and fully comprehensive catalogue of instructions and warranties on all items of equipment. Furthermore, Bourne Homes provided a detailed handover briefing which was in addition to various meetings prior to completion.

We also appreciated the thought and effort put into organising all the keys. All keys, including multiple spares for each door were bundled and clearly labelled. Little touches, like inclusion of a Bourne Homes key ring for the front door, were thoughtful and much appreciated.

Since moving in we experienced some minor issues which Bourne Homes resolved quickly and efficiently. Moreover they asked us to provide a list of any snagging items over the course of the first few months. All were resolved to our satisfaction.

So overall, we’ve been very impressed with Bourne Homes. The service pre and post completion has been great. Our requests have all been addressed without debate, no matter how big or small. The property has been designed intelligently and built and fitted to a very high standard. In summary therefore, we would happily recommend the Bourne Homes experience which combines high quality design & build together with thoughtful provision of a support service which spans pre and post completion."

"This hamlet of 11 individual barns has been re-built and authentically restored to a superb standard and equipped for modern living, encouraging a friendly and close-knit community.

We downsized into a 2 bedroom barn (the stables) last occupied by plough horses. The property has been re- built to a very high standard to give good sized rooms full of character with beams throughout, making the most of the original layout and features.

The bathrooms, kitchen, fixtures and fittings have been given a lot of thought and are of the highest standard.

In fact all we had to do was move our furniture in and start living."
